The USD 0.5% Dividend Stocks Winner enables investors to get a fixed interest rate of 0.5% annually – equals USD 5 per USD 1,000 nominal value and is paid out each year regardless of how the underlying performs. Additionally, the Guarantee Certificate enables investors to participate 1:1 in the positive average performance of the STOXX Select Dividend 100® USD Index. At the same time investors are protected against price declines by the capital guarantee of 100% at the maturity date.
The Guarantee Certificate and the underlying are denominated in USD, therefore the Certificate is not subject to the exchange rate. At the end of the term one of the two scenarios will occur:
- SCENARIO 1 – average index performance is positive:
This positive average performance with a participation factor of 100% is paid out in addition to the nominal value of USD 1,000. The maximum payout is unlimited. - SCENARIO 2 – average index performance remains unchanged or is negative:
In case the average index performance at the five annual valuation dates is not positive, the capital guarantee applies and, at the maturity date, the certificate is redeemed at 100% nominal value.
The Guarantee Certificate enables investors who do not wish to invest into single shares to participate in the performance of an index made up of 100 solid, listed, top dividend yielding companies worldwide and to obtain, at the same time, a minimum interest rate even in declining markets.
