The Raiffeisen Certificates team was honoured with the SPi (Structured Products Intelligence) Europe Award for Exzellence 2024 as the best issuer of structured products in Austria. Heike Arbter, Head of Raiffeisen Certificates, accepted the award at a ceremony in Lisbon. This is now the second international award within a short period of time, after Raiffeisen Certificates received the SRP Award 2024 for the best financial education initiatives in March.
Raiffeisen Certificates leading in all aspect
The SPi Award was presented on the basis of objectively measurable criteria such as market share, product performance and innovative strength. Raiffeisen Certificates is a leader in all aspects and "was able to set a remarkable standard for the entire industry," was the jury's judgement.
At the event Heike Arbter explained her position on the issue of the cost efficiency and transparency of structured products: "Providing good value for money is already a must in order to be successful on the market. The existing regulatory framework already ensures complete cost transparency. Our customers expect solid returns with simultaneous protection against market risks - and that's exactly what we offer them. It's always about the best result for our customers, not about looking for the cheapest product."
The extent to which certificates are gaining ground across Europe was also a topic of discussion. According to SPi data, turnover in the previous year rose by an impressive 32%. However, the individual speakers agreed that investors' requirements are also increasing. Topics such as "modern technology" and "customer journey" are playing an increasingly important role, to which individual issuers such as Raiffeisen Certificates are already responding with corresponding offers.
Heike Arbter explained the major advantage of certificates as a portfolio component:
„Certificates diversify both the underlying assets and the payout profiles. With their combination of hedging and yield optimisation, they are therefore becoming increasingly popular for private investor portfolios.“
