Raiffeisen Centrobank – new member of the stock exchange in Prague

Vienna/Prague - Raiffeisen Centrobank (RCB) further expands its product portfolio in its core business segment equities trading and sales in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). The Austrian investment bank has become member of the Prague Stock Exchange (PSE) with immediate effect, and is thus able to act as a market maker both in Czech blue chips and RCB’s own issues.

RCB decided to apply for PSE membership further to the introduction of the XETRA trading system on the PSE last year. With this order-based trading platform the PSE has opened up to international participants, enabling them to standardise their hardware and interface solutions in all CEE Stock Exchange Group (CEESEG) markets.

“Executing the trades as a direct stock exchange member and market maker will allow us to substantially realise cost savings. This provide us with a significant edge in the currently low-liquidity market environment“, says Wilhelm Celeda, Member of the Executive Board in RCB.

Aside from being member of the stock exchange in Prague, RCB is a member of the Vienna Stock Exchange, the German Stock Exchange, Eurex Germany, Scoach (structured products, Frankfurt Stock Exchange), Euwax (structured products, Stuttgart Stock Exchange), the London Stock Exchange (IOB), as well as of the exchanges in Warsaw, Budapest, Bucharest and Ljubljana.
