Raiffeisen Centrobank appoints Gökce Kabatepe as Coordinator “New Markets and Asia”

M&A strengthens focus on emerging markets - Turkey as hub for new markets activities

Istanbul/Vienna - With immediate effect Gökce Kabatepe takes over responsibility for Raiffeisen Centrobank’s (RCB) newly founded "New Markets and Asia" unit at the investment bank’s division for Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A). Kabatepe will be acting in this position in addition to his current function as Managing Director of Raiffeisen Investment Turkey. “With this step we want to put more structured emphasis on opportunistically opening our business scope towards new markets, especially in Asia”, explains Gerhard Grund, member of the executive board responsible for M&A at RCB.

Gokce Kabatepe was appointed Managing Director of the Turkish office for Raiffeisen Investment in 2008. Under his leadership, Raiffeisen Investment Turkey closed more than 30 transactions for a total volume of $15 bn. Gokce has 15 years of investment banking experience working at companies such as Raymond James Securities, Korfez Investment Bank in Istanbul and R.W. Pressprich in New York. During his career, Gokce Kabatepe has been involved in numerous M&A and capital market transactions in a variety of sectors.
