Heike Arbter reelected as EUSIPA chairwoman for the 2nd time

Press release

Vienna/BrusselsMag. Heike Arbter, member of the Management Board of Raiffeisen Centrobank AG (RCB), was unanimously elected Chairwoman of the European Structured Investment Products Association (EUSIPA) for an additional two-year term at the annual general meeting of the association in Brussels. Under her leadership, the Austrian regional association Zertifikate Forum Austria (ZFA) co-founded EUSIPA in Brussels in 2009 together with European partners such as the Deutscher Derivaten Verband. Seven years later Arbter was elected President of EUSIPA – a position she still holds today. In addition to Austria, current members of EUSIPA are the national associations from Belgium, Germany, France, Great Britain, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Sweden and Switzerland.

Arbter, who thanked her colleagues for re-electing her, said: “It is a great honour to see my colleagues across our European association landscape confirming their confidence in me. The EU financial services sector is facing manifold pressures. We will have to keep a steady focus on customer orientation while ensuring our business stays aligned to the principles of sustainable banking. The efforts undertaken by the structured products industry throughout the past years have, in that sense, been a solid contribution as they have greatly enhanced transparency and customer understanding of our asset class.“

Heike Arbter has been a member of the Management Board of RCB since May 2019, where she heads all the business activities of the investment bank. As a member of the Management Board, she ensures that RCB's position as the leading certificates and equities house in Austria and CEE is strengthened. She has been working for RCB for more than 20 years and has developed the Structured Products business area into RCB's most important earnings driver. She also holds a seat on the supervisory body of the Stuttgart Stock Exchange and is a member of the Vienna Stock Exchange Arbitration Court. Since May 2016 Heike Arbter has been Chairwoman of the European umbrella organisation for structured investment products EUSIPA. Arbter was a member of the ZFA Management Board since the foundation of the association in 2006 and has been serving as Chairwoman of the Supervisory Board since April 2019. She holds a master's degree in business administration from the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration and several securities certifications.
