Heike Arbter awarded as ‘Banker of the Year’

London/Vienna –

Heike Arbter, Managing Director with Raiffeisen Centrobank, was awarded as “Banker of the Year 2016 in Austria” by the renowned industry magazine Acquisition International. For Arbter, who is responsible for the Structured Products Department with Raiffeisen Centrobank since 1997 and who turned the Austrian bank into a leading issuing house in Austrian as well as Central and Eastern Europe, the award is an unexpected but joyful confirmation of her long-lasting commitment and engagement: “I see this award as evidence that my work and effort regarding certificates is also acknowledged beyond the borders of our home market Austria. It will certainly motivate me to continue my work with full dedication to promote the attractiveness and advantages of this product category and to explain them to a broader audience of investors”.

Heike Arbter largely contributed to the introduction and development of structured products segments at Eastern European stock exchanges in Warsaw, Bucharest and Budapest. She is acting as chairwoman of Zertifikate Forum Austria since 2009. In June 2015 she was elected the first female stock exchange council at one of Europe’s largest derivative exchanges in Stuttgart. In 2016 she assumed office as President of the European Structured Products Association (EUSIPA).
