Heike Arbter appointed new President of European Structured Products Association EUSIPA

Brussels/ Vienna

Heike Arbter, Managing Director at Raiffeisen Centrobank, was unanimously appointed President of the European Structured Investment Products Association (EUSIPA) in the frame of the association‘s annual general assembly meeting which was held yesterday afternoon in Brussel. For tenure of office for two years she thus follows Reinhard Bellet who held this position since 2009.

“I’m overwhelmed to see such a high level of confidence that my European industry-colleagues show in me. In the forthcoming two years I will definitely focus on strengthening the principles of EUSIPA that are based on market transparency and unified market standards in Europe. Moreover, I’ll use this position to enhance the level of understanding about structured products – especially certificates. It’s my personal goal to further increase the awareness on the attractiveness and the many advantages of this asset-class at all levels – regulators, political decision makers as well as the broad investor audience”, Arbter demonstrates preparedness for her new task. Apart from Austria, national trade bodies from Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Sweden, Switzerland, the Netherlands and the UK are currently members of EUSIPA.

Heike Arbter is heading the Structured Products Department at Raiffeisen Centrobank since 1997 and is responsible for the bank’s becoming the number one issuing house in Austria. With her expertise she largely contributed to the introduction and development of structured products segments at Eastern European stock exchanges in Warsaw, Bucharest and Budapest. She is acting as chairwoman of Zertifikate Forum Austria since 2009. In June 2015 she was elected the first female stock exchange council at Europe’s largest derivative exchange in Stuttgart.
