Future alignment of Raiffeisen Centrobank

· Clear focus on expansion of core fields of business

· Wilhelm Celeda becomes new CEO, Markus Kirchmair becomes Board Member

Vienna – Raiffeisen Centrobank AG (RCB) will focus even stronger on its core fields of business, namely certificates, equity trading and -sales, sales trading and company research. Based on this decision RCB’s equity capital markets (ECM) and mergers & acquisitions (M&A) business will be integrated into Raiffeisen Bank International AG (RBI) in 2015. These changes were affirmed by RCB’s supervisory board yesterday. Thus RCB clearly sharpens its profile as cash equity & equity derivatives specialist of RBI Group and prepares for further expansion in its core fields of business.

The structural changes come along with changes in RCB’s top management. Wilhelm Celeda (50), RCB board member since 2013 and responsible for the core fields of business, will become the bank’s new Chief Executive Officer as of January 1, 2015. The board will be completed with Markus Kirchmair (53), who has hitherto been heading the division business management & development with RBI. On January 1, 2015 he will assume his duties as Chief Risk Officer and Chief Finance Officer at RCB. His appointment is subject to approval from the Austrian Financial Market Authority (FMA). Current RCB board members Eva Marchart, Michael A. Spiss and Gerhard Grund leave the company with the expiry of their mandates on December 31, 2014 and will take on new responsibilities within Raiffeisen Group.
